Stand For Your Community VLGA Events Dec 2022

The Your Country, Community and Council (YCCC) is hosting a workshop and forum so you can hear from the Aboriginal change makers increasing the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices to local government debate and decision-making.

Join Aboriginal leaders Tracey Evans and Cr. Greg James on their experience in local government, from advisory committees to the role of councillor.

Joined by the Aboriginal Inclusion Officer at the Victorian Electoral Commission and mediated by Uncle Charles Pakana.

Hear from Cr. Greg James, the first Aboriginal councillor at Greater Shepparton City Council and Cr. Ashleigh Vandenberg, the first Aboriginal councillor at MeltonCity Council.
